Professional Interests: Internal medicine, dermatology, and cardiology.
Dr. Jara Gruber went to undergrad at the University of Delaware and graduate Cum Laude in 2015 and then went on to earned her Veterinarian Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She grew up in Marlboro New Jersey (Central New Jersey) and as a child she was only allowed to have small mammal pets. Her guinea pigs became her world and she loved caring for them and nursing them back to health when they were sick. This prompted Dr, Gruber to volunteer and shadow at a local animal hospital where her appreciation for veterinary medicine grew. "Watching the vets perform their jobs (the ups and the downs) made me realize that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life."
Dr. Gruber states that the most satisfying about her career is maintaining the human animal bond while keeping people’s best friends happy, healthy, and comfortable for as long as possible.
Her professional interests include Internal Medicine, dermatology, and cardiology. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr, Gruber currently owns Pebbles, a 13 year old feline domestic shorthair. She is grey with green eyes and is trained to do tricks like “sit” and “paw”. When she is not at the office she enjoys soccer, kickboxing, lifting weights, going to the beach, spending time with friends and family.
